About the Program
This is a structured vacation program aligned to the mid‑year university break, offering a 2–4 week paid internship. We offer flexible intake dates and placement lengths to accommodate individual availability, with placements running across July 2026.
The program is intentionally structured to:
- Provide hands‑on work, not just shadowing
- Allow time for learning, questions, and feedback
- Give interns exposure to the day‑to‑day realities of a professional accounting firm
- Create early industry connections that support future career decisions
What you’ll do
As an intern at Equipe Advisory, you’ll work alongside our accountants and senior team members and gain exposure to real client work, including:
- Assisting with accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, reconciliations and maintaining accurate client records
- Supporting the preparation of financial accounts and working papers
- Assisting with BAS preparation and learning how GST operates in practice
- Supporting income tax compliance tasks and gaining exposure to different entity structures (individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships)
- Learning how bookkeeping, compliance and advisory services fit together to support business clients
- Building an understanding of how professional judgement, systems and workflows operate in a boutique advisory environment
You won’t be expected to know everything on day one - the goal is for you to learn by doing, with support.
Your internship isn’t just about tasks - it’s also about understanding the profession. During the program, there'll be opportunities to network with accountants and advisors at different stages of their careers, learn how professional relationships are built and nurtured, participate in internal training sessions and build connections that may support future graduate or ongoing opportunities.
