Job Description
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeping Supervisor to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis, with flexible hours. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a keen eye for numbers, values a great work environment, and wants to continuously improve in the role.
As a Bookkeeping Supervisor at Equipe Advisory, you’ll play an integral role in supporting both our clients and our internal team with top-quality financial recordkeeping, payroll, reporting, and compliance. You’ll collaborate closely with our accountants to ensure our clients’ financial information is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with their business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for a diverse range of business clients.
Oversee and mentor our assistant accountant cohort in their bookkeeping activities.
Proactively review, recommend, and implement system improvements for client’s end to end financial processes.
Review bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Manage payroll processes, including STP, superannuation, and leave accruals.
Assist with BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement.
Assist with management reporting and help clients with cash flow management.
Communicate with clients, the ATO, and accountants as needed.
Support internal financial tracking and reporting for the business.
Maintain accurate records in Xero, MYOB and other relevant accounting systems.

About You
You’re an experienced bookkeeper with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance. You understand the practical needs of business owners and enjoy helping them make sense of their financials in an approachable way. You’re a problem solver who enjoys streamlining processes and adding value to the businesses you work with. You enjoy working in a team environment and can lead others to get the best out of themselves.
You’ll also bring:
At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, Xero, and MYOB.
A solid understanding of GST, payroll, and ATO compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Qualifications in bookkeeping and/or accounting (preferred).
A warm and approachable communication style.
The ability to manage multiple clients and their varied needs.
